Working as a team of three you will be required to work on a rotating roster ensuring that you utilise all of your skills and confidence in midwifery. The thirty six bed hospital is an acute facility providing care in obstetrics and surgery, alongside a dedicated community health team and supportive doctors who are all keen and passionate about sharing and broadening their skills. Your continuing education and expansion of skills is the focus of a dedicated Clinical Midwife Educator and Clinical Nurse Educator who will work with you to ensure you are growing as a practitioner and gaining skills along the way. Glen Innes is located in New South Wales’ high country and Celtic capital. The area is rich in agriculture and minerals on the intersection of the New England and Gwydir Highways. Producing wool, sheep and beef as well as being the home of the Australian Standing Stones and the World Heritage Washpool National Park. The weather in the region is one of its strongest attributes with all of the seasons being represented through mild summers lacking humidity, the orange change of autumn, crisp winters and the promise of new life that is spring. The population of over five thousand is a friendly and welcoming community offering an affordable selection of accommodation and a preschool, two primary schools and a high school.
