Benjamin Short Grove is our new 60 bed Residential Aged Care facility located in Orange which provides accommodation and quality care to residents who were homeless or at risk of homelessness. We are looking for experienced personal care assistants to join our team and be a part of our casual pool.
As a Personal Care Assistant, your responsibilities are, but not limited to:
- Provide personal care to residents
- Assist with activities of daily living
- Administer medication to residents from Webster packs
- Document in progress notes
- Observe the condition/health/wellbeing of residents, reporting any concerns to the RN/CNC
In order to be successful in a casual role, you must:
- Be able to work independently and also be able to work in a team
- Be flexible to work different shifts on a 24/7 hour roster
- Have previous experience working with clients with challenging behaviours or mental health issues
- Have previous experience in a similar position
- Hold a Certificate IV in Aged Care or currently studying Nursing
