About the role
In this unique 12 month fixed term role, you will report to the Superintendent Business Partnering HSE and your main focus as a Contaminated Sites Specialist will be to:
Coordinate contaminated site risk assessments and maintain a Contaminated Sites Register.
Coordinate and contribute to the WAIO Contaminated Sites 5 Year Planning process.
Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to manage the portfolio.
Provide technical guidance on management strategies and remediation for contaminated sites across WAIO.
Ensure alignment to the requirements of the WA Contaminated Sites Act and Regulations
Maintain contact with Regulators.
Assist with the BHP research program
About you
You will be tertiary qualified in Environmental Science or similar, have a solid understanding of contaminated sites management and proven experience and success within a similar role. You will be self-motivated, ability to handle ambiguity and possess high verbal and written communication skills. Your ability to engage and influence stakeholders will be critical to the success of the role.
