We are looking for youth oriented Mental Health Clinicians to provide contracted services during Centre hours (Monday-Friday). Based in Ashfield, you will report to the Clinical Lead.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Provide evidenced based short term focused psychological intervention/treatment for young people aged 12- 25 years, including adherence to relevant guidelines and procedures.
- Work with the multidisciplinary team internally and liaise with external services including but not limited to; GPs, Psychiatrists, health services , Non-Government Organisations, schools etc.
- Actively participate in service development, case review meetings, quality assurance activities and WH&S initiatives.
- Maintain patient records and statistical information within headspace Ashfield.
Skills, Experience and Requirements:
- Demonstrated Minimum of 2 years' experience and knowledge in delivering psychologically focused therapeutic intervention using evidence-based treatments with young people (12-25 years) and their families;
- Demonstrated skills and certified training in Suicide Prevention/Risk Assessment and Cultural Competency Training in working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, CALD groups and the LGBTIQA+ community;
- Eligibility to provide services under Medicare and be willing to Bulk Bill;
- An ABN;
- Personal Professional Indemnity Insurance;
- National Police Check and Working with Children Check Clearance.
