Access Your Supports is an independent Geelong organisation providing support services to eligible participants of the NDIS.

Director Ralph Menchise, has brought together a team of professional and experienced support co-ordinators and therapists whom are passionate about positive participant outcomes. Access Your Supports delivers quality support services that empower our participants to achieve their life goals. Our experienced and passionate staff work closely with participants to implement their NDIS plan to access supports available to them under the NDIS.

Access Your Supports therapy services are delivered under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) funded by the Australian Government. The program aims to assist participants through evidenced-based therapy interventions. The program supports participants with approved NDIS Plans.

The NDIS is a major national reform with an insurance based approach. It is a new way of providing support for eligible people with permanent and significant disability, their families and carers, via individualised services based on a client’s level of need.

Responsibilities and Duties

PARTICIPANT SERVICES

  • Provision of therapy to individuals.
  • Provision of Group Therapy.
  • Compilation of reports and letters for NDIS Participants, other health professionals and NDIS reporting requirements.
  • Maintain records, following company policy and within expected timeframes that clearly document activities undertaken and ensure all documentation is comprehensive, factual and complies with relevant legislation, professional guidelines and organizational policies.
  • Attend and participate in case conference, team meetings and team building events
  • Make appropriate referrals to internal and external services
  • Documented evidence demonstrates that service procedures are followed.
  • All relevant policies and procedures are followed.

  • Current for registration with Speech Pathology Australia
  • Excellent clinical skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Effective time management skills
  • The ability and initiative to work autonomously while being part of a clinical team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Evidence of clinical supervision and ongoing professional development
  • Enthusiasm and passion for practicing therapy interventions as an allied health worker
  • Police clearance and ability to work with children
  • Valid Australian Driver’s Licence
  • A cleared Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • Cleared National Criminal History Check not more than 12 months old
