HPS and its network of pharmacies supply a wide range of pharmacy services to health facilities, including private hospitals, public hospitals, cancer centres, correctional facilities and specialist clinics.

 

Servicing over 280 clients nationally, we have the expertise to deliver a large range of pharmacy services including; dispensary services, pharmaceutical product supply, inventory management, opioid management, clinical services, continued professional education and support, complex compounding - including oncology services, and specialist consultancy services.

The Opportunity

An opportunity has become available for an experienced Pharmacist to be part of team at Brunswick Private Hospital. Flexibility in additional hours at minimal notice will also be highly regarded. This position is available for immediate start.

 

Key responsibilities (inclusive but not limited to)

  • Dispense and supply medications in line with legal and professional requirements
  • Liaise with multidisciplinary health professional teams to ensure optimal health outcomes for patients
  • Provide clinical pharmacy services to client hospitals and their patients
  • Counsel and educate patients and other health professionals on pharmaceutical products and services
  • Assist with pharmacy administrative and quality tasks as required

 

Selection Criteria

  • Current and valid pharmacist registration with AHPRA

  • Valid Australian driver’s license and access to own transportation

  • Good working knowledge of the PBS system

  • Hospital experience is highly desirable.

  • A positive outlook with the ability to think ‘outside the box’ and solve complex problems independently

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Outstanding attention to detail

  • Passion for good customer service with a ‘can-do’ attitude

  • Proven ability to work autonomously and within a team
