An exciting opportunity is available for experienced registered nurses who are motivated, energetic and passionate about service excellence and patient care to join our experienced team in Mount Gambier.
Job tasks and responsibilities
The role of the Radiology Nurse is dynamic and evolving as the emphasis on minimally invasive procedures increases. Nurses work within a multidisciplinary team providing a wide variety of diagnostic and interventional services to a diverse patient clientele. Activities within this role include;
- Assisting Radiologists, radiographers and other members of the Imaging team with preparing patient pre and post interventional procedures
- Responsible for maintaining emergency trolleys, drugs, oxygen and all other general nursing duties
- Coordinating Breast Clinics at specific branches
- Coordinating patient bookings for more complex procedures
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role previous experience in radiology will be desirable. You will be a mature-minded, committed nurse who can demonstrate effective interpersonal and time management skills as well as the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team. You will have leadership capabilities, excellent communication skills and be able to adapt to the changing needs of the clinics. This role will suit a candidate who thrives on pace, variety, people and developing themselves.
