With our global reach, we connect Australian and New Zealand healthcare professionals with innovative and tailored health solutions to make a real difference to people’s lives, and we’re looking for a sales focused and dynamic Business Development Manager to join our national sales team.

As part of the newly created Osteobiologic team, reporting to the National Sales Manager, Neurosurgery and Biologics, you will be key in sourcing relationships with clients and key decision makers to develop business opportunities across the biologics portfolio. This is a sales driven role, where you will need to be an excellent influencer, with the ability to work in a matrix style role alongside our Spine and Orthopaedic sales teams.

You’ll stand out from the crowd if you;

  • Possess strong knowledge of biology and anatomy, particularly around orthopaedics and spine.
  • Have proven sales drive and ability including outstanding negotiation skills, persuasive ability and excellent communication skills
  • Have a can-do attitude and can work both autonomously and as part of a team
  • Can demonstrate working across several sales functions and the ability to influence sales results without direct authority.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Achieving an agreed revenue target by identifying and gaining business from new and existing surgeons
  • Offering in theatre support to Spine and Orthopaedic surgeons for relevant procedures
  • Developing relationships with all suppliers and implementing supplier best practice framework for these partners, including reporting of sales and purchasing data, market analysis and customer feedback
  • Liaising with sales teams to establish, plan and drive marketing initiatives such as surgeon and non-clinical stakeholder awareness campaigns and customer education training programs
  • Assessing potential partners (including complementary agencies), performing competitive research, evaluating proposed deals/partnerships and analysing and developing business cases for new business targets through the Gateway process.

The successful candidate will have at least 7 years experience selling in a theatre and hospital environment (osteobiologics highly regarded) as well as previous experience in a similar role and hold a full driver's license. Additionally, tertiary education in a related medical field such as a biotechnology, biomedical engineering, anatomy or nursing is essential.
