An exciting and sought after opportunity exists for a highly motivated and dynamic Quality and Risk Manager to join our team. The successful applicant will work closely with the Executive and Hospital Management Team to support and foster a culture that embraces quality and strives to continually improve patient and business outcomes in line with the relevant National Standards and regulatory frameworks

Kareena Private Hospital is a modern 141 bed facility conveniently located directly opposite Sutherland Public Hospital and close to public transport. We are an acute facility offering a comprehensive range of medical, rehabilitation, obstetrics and surgical services including Orthopaedics, Colorectal and General Surgery all supported by a level 2 Intensive Care Unit.
Kingsway Day Surgery is our state of the art dedicated day surgery unit located centrally in the Sutherland Shire specialising in Ophthalmology, Endoscopy, Urology, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and Dermatology.

Essential
Current Nursing Registration with AHPRA
- Excellent communication skills with demonstrated leadership and management skills
- Minimum 5 years in an acute hospital setting and evidence of a commitment to continuous quality improvement
- Demonstrated understanding of clinical governance principles including Risk Management and hospital accreditation processes e.g. 10 National Standards
- Commitment to education and customer service
- Ability to practice independently to meet deadlines using effective goal/objective setting
- Demonstrated ability to develop good multidisciplinary relationships & progress change management initiatives
- Computer literacy across the Microsoft Office suite
Desirable:
- Experience in incident management, investigation and electronic information management systems
- Experience with accreditation process using the National Safety and Quality Health Services Standards
- Experience in leading groups and projects, and facilitating change
- Tertiary qualifications in Quality or Management
