Practice Support positions work as a team to support the breadth of primary health care services and staff across the NT primary health care spectrum to remain up to date and skilled regarding delivery of contemporary and data driven primary health care.

This position as an Identified Indigenous position; along with their generic duties, will champion safe and inclusive service to Aboriginal peoples and to this will work alongside the Practice Support Team Leader and Primary Care CQI Manager to engage and enhance partnerships with Aboriginal organisations. 

Key Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of the Australian Primary Health Care System with experience working in a primary health clinical setting.
  • Demonstrated understanding of cultural inclusive and safe service delivery.
  • Excellent presentation, oral, public speaking and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport, write and deliver presentations, reports and external communications.
  • An understanding of primary healthcare, quality improvement cycles.
  • Strong organisational skills with experience in program management and delivery.
  • Ability to work unsupervised, under pressure, prioritise commitments and meet critical deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
  • Proven ability to relate well to people from diverse cultures and backgrounds and preferably with people from within the health service industry.
  • Ability to collaborate and work within, and/or build, a team environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Access, Work and Excel.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation.
  • Ability to analyse and interpret data.
