Better Movement Clinic is passionate about creating equality of health care no matter the geographic location, culture or perceived barrier. We are an Allied Health practice offering services from our clinics in Toowoomba and Dalby. In addition, we offer outreaching clinics through Toowoomba and Western Downs.
Better Movement Clinic is currently expanding our Allied Health Professionals and is seeking a full time Accredited Practicing Dietitian to join our strong and enthusiastic team. We will be looking for someone who has a strong passion for filling a gap of services to the communities.
The successful applicant will need:
- To hold a current registration with Dietitians Association of Australia
- Excellent communication skills
- The ability to build rapport with clients, co-workers and local communities
- Strong creativity, innovative and resourcefulness
- Excellent time management skills
- Passion and enthusiasm for rural and remote health
- Driver’s license and reliable car
- The ability to work independently if needed
- Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance
Key responsibilities:
- Provide nutrition and dietetic knowledge and skills for the delivery of safe clinical practice and professional advice to patients
- Communication with both external and internal medical and allied health professionals
- Health promotion
- Prevention and treatment of chronic disease
- Working with clients with disability under the NDIS
- Indigenous health
Desired Attributes:
- An interest in private practice setting
- Willingness to work with disability and mental health
- Cultural awareness training
Better Movement Clinic will be looking for a dietitian to put their knowledge and experience to good use whilst being exposed to an invaluable rural health experience. Weekly personal development will be available if required for new graduate’s applicants with a range of other Dietitians connected with the Better Movement Clinic.
