We are seeking Exercise Physiologists in Adelaide, who are available to provide services on a contracting basis, i.e. fee for service, with a high hourly rate. We are also considering FT or PPT for the right applicant so feel free to apply if this is you.
Despite being a "contractor" and enjoying the benefits of flexible work and being autonomous in your day-to-day scheduling, you will feel as though you're an Employee of the company as a result of becoming part of our ecosystem where we "meet" often (via video link), we roundtable difficult cases, we provide inservices on various topics and access to loads more upskilling and learning opportunities in the world of Occupational Rehabilitation and the Insurance models.
Our core service is in prescribing exercise programs which tailor towards increasing functional capacity and enabling patients to return to their pre-disability work duties. By nature of the Life Insurance scheme, most customers we assist have been diagnosed with a cancer, stroke, cardiac, fatigue, mental health or musculoskeletal condition and our role is to help them return to their pre-disability endeavours via our programming.
Our customers love us due to our HUGE focus on communication and also due to our use of experienced EPs who have worked as a Rehab Provider, Insurer or at a Work Conditioning provider previously and therefore have extensive knowledge of the compensable markets.
Services would generally include performing initial assessments, prescription and delivery of functional conditioning programs based either in the client's home, workplace or their local gym and reporting to all parties (i.e. the Insurers, Rehab Providers, GP's and Employers) regarding progress. However, our service also extends to visiting GP's to discuss treatment, visiting workplaces to assess job demands, talking to Employers about return to work options and designing return to work plans.
2-3 yrs experience in treatment, occupational rehabilitation / worker's compensation roles is required to deliver the service which Specialised Health has become known for.
