Our client, an established and busy upper limb orthopaedic surgeon based at South Brisbane is actively seeking to appoint a highly experienced Medical Typist/Receptionist to the team. This is a permanent part time position working 3 days a week with availability to cover staff leave periods from time to time. Ideally we are looking for an experienced person, someone who reflects the core values of this practice and can operate and balance a busy workload.
Key duties and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Typing of all medical correspondence (including the preparation of Medicolegal reports)
- Liaising closely with other medical professionals and relevant third-party insurers
- Assisting with the preparation of patient clinics
- Processing patient billing and receipting for clinics
- Providing relief support to the front desk during busy periods
This practice has a commitment to providing excellence in service to patients and with such a busy schedule, the successful candidate will grow and develop within the role and display a supportive and professional approach.
To be closely considered for this role, you will need:
- Strong medical typing skills with previous experience generating Medicolegal reports and general medical correspondence
- Fast and accurate data entry skills
- Previous experience working within a surgical specialist practice
- The ability to work well within a close-knit team environment
- Computer savvy - with knowledge of Genie software and digital dictation systems
Located at South Brisbane, public transport is directly across the road. Access to public car parks offering reduced 'staff rates' also an option.
Remuneration:
A competitive hourly rate will be negotiated with the right candidate (depending on relevant skills and experience).
