Commissioning Director of Nursing - Sydney  

This is a unique career defining opportunity. We require an experienced Aged Care Director of Nursing (Registered Nurse) who can spearhead an exciting regeneration project. The role requires the decommissioning of an existing older building in conjunction with the commissioning of a new site (for which the foundations are in place).  

This is a unique opportunity that requires a true leader and innovator. The role has 3 main phases:

Phase 1: Decommissioning   

• Decommissioning the current Aged Care facility for which occupancy is currently capped. Potential requirements to rehome residents.

Phase 2: Commissioning 

• Recruitment of your team. From cleaners to Carers to the Clinical Care team of Nurses.
• Filling the beds. This organisation have excellent networks in the local district.
• Implementing policies and procedures.
• Ad-hoc duties - Solving and combating tasks before they become problems.

Phase 3: Ongoing management of the new facility 

• Providing support and leadership to the entire staffing team within the home. 
• Responsible for the day to day operations of the modern Aged Care facility.
• On going management of the facility. 

To succeed in this position you will possess strong business acumen coupled with exceptional people management and leadership qualities. As an end result, your skills and experience will directly influence the success of the facility. You will also have the support of an exceptional Executive Management Team and support from Head office. 

This is a unique position that requires a very experienced senior aged Care manager who ideally has commissioning experience.  We therefore require a passionate Registered Nurse to spearhead the project.
