Deputy Director of Nursing || Aged Care - Blue Mountains / Penrith  

Aged Care Facility:
This Aged Care facility brings the very latest in care and facilities to elderly residents at the heart of the Blue Mountains. Our Client caters for elderly service users with general Aged Care nursing needs and dementia. This facility is designed to be at the heart of the local community. 

The Organisation:
A private health care group offering residential aged care facilities in the Sydney and the Blue Mountains. A focus on the care, comfort and consideration of residents. An innovator with a Dynamic Management team who's purpose is to provide the residents with the highest quality health care, and to ensure a holistic positive homely environment provided.

The Position 

• Required to undertake and manage direct resident care, having participated fully in the assessment, planning and evaluation of care needs. 
• To undertake the delivery of care. With the support of the Director of Nursing, to overview and manage all aspects of day to day running of a residential home, including promoting the safeguarding of the service user's welfare whilst promoting independence & diversity to ensure individual needs are met.
• Mentor, support and develop staff, including supervision and appraisal to maximise their performance and ensure high standards of care, values, ethical standards, equality and diversity, policies and procedures, legislation contractual and inspection framework requirements are met.
• Daily management, motivation and supervision of residents and staff.
• A good understanding of the changing landscape of Aged Care.
• Provide operational support for the redesign, development, implementation and continuous improvement of the organisations operations to ensure a consistently excellent service.
