ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Social Work role is an integral part of the multi-disciplinary teams of the hospital and is required to provide highly responsive and flexible services to consumers whilst upholding a high level of professionalism and practising within the core values of Mercy Health.
- Casual Social Worker
- Based at Werribee Mercy Hospital, Social Work Department.
- Flexibility to cover planned and unplanned leave within social work department
- The successful applicant will manage a clinical case load involving inpatients and their families/carers in a range of acute and sub-acute settings as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Comply with the requirements of the annual organisational mandatory and role related competencies in policy and procedure.
- Understanding of, and commitment to customer focused service.
ABOUT YOU:
- Tertiary qualification in Social Work and eligibility for membership of the AASW
- Sound working knowledge of current evidence based practices and a commitment to continuing professional development and research
- Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
