Medacs Healthcare is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Critical Care Registered Nurse to join a fantastic team at this respected private hospital in Melbourne on a permanent basis.
Job summary:
As a Critical Care Registered Nurse you will be joining the ICU team. You will be responsible for providing safe and effective care for a broad range of patients, with minimal supervision. You will assess care needs, plans and programs of care, as well as ensuring all duties are carried out to the highest possible standard.
Key responsibilities:
- Provides total individualised patient care and assumes accountability for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating therapy needs
- Discharge planning for each patient and assessing for current and potential problems
- Contributes to the achievement of clinical quality outcome indicators and patient satisfaction by demonstration of extraordinary service
- Educates the patient/family and other members of the health care team
- Identifies and alerts members of the medical team to changes in medical status of the patient
- Documents all relevant information correctly, appropriately and in a timely manner
- Performs other related duties as assigned
What you will need?
- AHPRA Registered Nurse
- At least two years’ experience post graduate experience in Australia!
- A Critical Care Post Graduate certificate/diploma is essential
- Current National Police Check
- Current WWCC or willing to obtain
- A genuine passion for helping and caring for others
