About the Role

You will also be responsible for:

  • Conducting a comprehensive literature review of existing approaches to supporting children with additional needs at a school and system level.
  • Developing a detailed consultation strategy with relevant DET personnel, principals and teachers in consultation with the Project Advisory Group.
  • Mapping existing identification, referral and intervention processes for children with additional needs.
  • In conjunction with relevant DET personnel, identifying schools in the two regions that could be the ‘experimental’ schools for testing new approaches.
  • Fostering and maintaining close collaborative working relationships with relevant sections of Victorian Government Departments to ensure that program priorities are set in partnership.
  • Establishing links with relevant community agencies and other stakeholders.
