South Eastern Private Hospital is excited to announce the impending building plans of new purpose-built Oncology & Palliative Care Units which will open in 2019.
We are seeking the services of an experienced and enthusiastic Nurse Unit Manager to join the team in the expanding Palliative Care Unit. The position requires a motivated nurse that can bring their clinical expertise and experience to this key leadership role. You will have the opportunity to grow and develop a positive team and culture within the Unit.
You will co-ordinate the daily activity of the unit including patient and staff allocation, supply management, clinical support and assist the Director of Clinical Services in developing and maintaining safe clinical practices and excellent clinical outcomes. Professional development is viewed favourably and supportive opportunities are available.
Essential Criteria:
- Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration
- Experience in General Medical, Palliative Care and Managerial role
- 5 years post registration experience and able to demonstrate expert clinical practice
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- High standard of customer service and team approach
- Proven skills in supporting and mentoring of staff
- The ability to assess competency and clinical practice
- Advanced problem solving and decision making skills
- Intermediate computer skills
Desirable Criteria:
- Post graduate nursing certificate in Palliative Care
