CMAX is looking to hire a casual Clinical Medical Officer. This role is a great opportunity for someone wanting exposure to early phase clinical trials in a commercial environment or a clinician wanting the flexibility of a casual medical role.
The Clinical Medical Officer is responsible for:
- Conducting physical examinations & medical history assessments as part of the participant screening process.
- Reviewing and authorising clinical pathology reports, vital sign and ECG measurements
- Providing medical care & monitoring the well-being of patients/volunteers.
- Documenting, monitoring and reporting adverse events.
- Liaising with clinical and non-clinical staff to conduct tasks required to fulfill Human Research Ethics Committee approved study protocols.
- Building strong working relationships with study nurses, patients, volunteers, external medical personnel and the Principal Investigator.
You will:
- Hold a current unconditional medical registration with the Medical Board of Australia and Medical Indemnity insurance.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal & communication skills
- Be required to work flexible hours including after hours and weekends.
