Senior Occupational Therapist
Permanent Full Time – Immediate start
Koorana Child and Family Services is a community owned organisation committed to the provision of high quality early childhood education, intervention, and family support services to children and families across Sydney's diverse Inner West and South West Sydney regions.
Koorana's growth has created a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Occupational Therapist to work in a multi-disciplinary team consisting of specialist teachers, speech pathologists, occupational therapists and physiotherapists. We work from a best practice enhanced key worker model, and have a specific focus on supporting children with additional needs and their families.
Candidates are required to have
- skills in engaging, resourcing and leading teams in multi-disciplinary and trans-disciplinary practice approaches
- ability to provide discipline specific clinical supervision
- sound knowledge and experience in paediatric occupational therapy
- experience delivering therapy within natural learning environments e.g. home, educational and community based settings.
- experience working with children with additional learning needs
- experience in identifying specific learning needs and developing a comprehensive plan that will support access into the NDIS
- the ability to effectively link families to appropriate community supports
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- a degree in Occupational Therapy and current practicing membership of Occupational Therapy Australia
- demonstrated ability to work in a culturally diverse community
- a driver's licence and access to a comprehensively insured vehicle.
