Your new role
You will work with the Residential Manager and Care Manager to lead a team of RNs, ENs and Care Assistants to ensure the smooth running of the facility and resident care. You will provide clinical care, undertake assessments, manage and record day to day operation matters, handle aged care funding instrument (ACFI) claims and maintain the high standard of nursing practices at all times. You will assist with the continuous improvement of the facility and its processes.
What you'll need to succeed
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
- 5+ years previous experience in Aged Care
- 2+ years experience in RN In Charge or Team Leader roles
- Understanding of WHS responsibilities, including manual handling principles
- Knowledge of Aged Care Legislation, Accreditation and ACFI will be highly regarded
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Responsible for ensuring high quality care is delivered to residents in a key leadership position
- Supervise and assist care staff
- Work within an energetic team to coordinate and deliver care
- Provide a wide range of personal care services to residents
- Provide complex clinical care including but not limited to: wound dressing; administration of medications; ondition assessment and referral
- Evaluate and maintain care plans to meet changing needs of residents
