The Disability Trust is committed to providing highly professional care and support to people with disabilities and their families. Based in regional NSW and the ACT, The Disability Trust provides a wide range of services to residents from Sydney in the north to the Victorian border.
The Disability Trust has its roots firmly in the community, having been established in 1974 to help children with disabilities and their families in the Illawarra. In recent years we have grown substantially, and now have approximately 1400 permanent and casual staff providing care for more than 4000 clients.
About the role:
The Disability Trust have exciting permanent part time and casual vacancies for Registered Nurses within our Illawarra services.
We are seeking Registered Nurses able to provide exceptional health care services in a 15 bed facility in the Illawarra. Supporting people with high level medical needs, you must be proficient in assessment, provision of support services and assistance in the development and evaluation of health support plans and prevention programs.

Key responsibilities of the role include supporting the participant with their personal care needs, encouraging their involvement within the community and assisting them to achieve their goals.
What we are looking for:
- Registration with The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Minimum of 3 years experience delivering nursing care for high level personal care needs
- Proven experience leading and guiding staff on current nursing practices
- High level oral and written communication
- Ability to interpret and apply policy in service delivery
- Valid Australian Driver’s Licence
- A cleared Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- Current National Criminal History Check (cleared within the last 12 months)
