About the business
Capital Chemist Curtin is a service based community pharmacy. Our vision is to have trained staff with professional knowledge and skills to provide optimal health care and advice to the community.
We are one of few pharmacies in Canberra who supply IVF medicines. All our pharmacists are trained to provide optimal advice on the use and administration of these medicines.
Specialist testing has become part of our everyday services. We are able to test lipid profile, HbA1c, iron levels in addition to regular blood pressure, glucose. These tests can be used in conjunction with our Impromy CSIRO weight management program, where our pharmacists have shown positive health outcomes with patients.
We have recently relocated and our new premises has a compounding lab which allows us to prepare medicines which aren't commercially available.
Vaccinations, leave certificates and woundcare are some of the other services provided by our pharmacy.
Dispense technicians are rostered on for all store opening hours so pharmacists are not expected to do the bulk of dispensing.
About the role
The successful applicant must share our vision, work well with our hardworking team, embrace challenges and possess a high level of accuracy.
The role involves handing out prescriptions and counselling patients about medications; providing advice in the front of shop; and driving all aspects of our professional services.
We currently have opportunities for TWO pharmacists: a full time AND a part time role to join our diverse team.

The pay rate is negotiable based on your skills and level of experience.

Registered pharmacists with Australian work permits need only apply.
The successful applicant must possess a positive attitude and be motivated to learn new skills. Good people and communication skills are a must.
