Where you will be working
Coolamon Multipurpose Service provides emergency, acute and residential aged care services; including palliative and respite care. Of the 14 beds, 12 are residential aged care and two are acute beds. Community nursing and a range of visiting services are available including dietetics, women’s health, occupational therapy, speech pathology and mental health/drug and alcohol counselling (adult, child and adolescent).

What you will be doing
Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate clinical education programs at the ward/unit level to support the education of nursing and midwifery staff to maintain quality care outcomes for patients and clients in accordance with the MLHD CNE/CME Framework
Selection Criteria
- Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA), with demonstrated evidence to meet the NMBA's Registered Nurse standards for practice and meet the NMBA approved standards, codes, guidelines and frameworks commensurate with the position
- Demonstrated three years' recent clinical experience providing clinical education to nurses and midwives using adult learning principles and facilitation skills, and hold a Training and Assessment Certificate IV TAE40110 and a relevant postgraduate qualification in area of speciality or for those in more general areas a post graduate qualification in acute care or other relevant specialty area
- Demonstrated continuous quality improvement with the ability to preceptor / mentor / or clinically supervise others to: comprehensively conduct assessments; develop a plan for nursing practice; provide safe, appropriate and responsive quality nursing practice; and evaluates outcomes to inform nursing practice
