THE OPPORTUNITY:

We are looking for a motivated OT/ Physio /Ex Phys to join our Port Macquarie team within our Personal Injury Division. This division  is a market leader in the provision of Clinical Consulting and Occupational Injury Management services to many of Australia's largest corporations. 

Our Personal Injury division in NSW provides services through federal and state based Workers Compensations, Motor Accident Schemes, Life Insurance and Military redeployment sector whilst also providing prevention services directly to Australia's largest corporations. 

Our staff are actively driving industry gold standard pilots and new contracts that are challenging traditional approaches that better help clients, whilst developing themselves in their career and skill set to be truly regarded as best in class at what they do.

Working with people who have sustained a physical injury, you will be responsible for assessing their needs, then developing and implementing strategies to enable a safe return to their original employment as part of their rehabilitation. Services will include early intervention and workplace rehabilitation services (and other similar services) to assist injured individuals return to work with their pre-injury employer.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Discipline specific rehabilitation assessments; early intervention assessments, workplace assessments, medical case conferences
  • Clinical and consulting in workers compensation - return injured workers back to work using evidence-based, best practice standards
  • Perform work site assessments & manual handling training and use lateral thinking and forward planning skills to identify potential return to work pathways in line with likely recovery milestones
  • Opportunities to use your strong clinical skills to help clients with complex and / or catastrophic claims


THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:

  •  Degree qualified with current clinical skills
  • Current AHPRA Accreditation or ESSA (with SIRA accreditation to perform Workplace Assessments) 
  • Hold a Working with Childrens Check 
  • A valid full driver's licence
  • A high level ability to clinically reason and strategically plan RTW and/or clinical outcomes
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Well developed communication skills - both verbal and written 
  • The ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Self motivated professional with experience in completing assessments and making recommendations
