About the role & the program
We are currently seeking an experienced Enrolled Nurse to join our team on a full time basis.
Mums and Kids Matter is an innovative program that supports mothers with a mental illness and their children 0-5 years. The service is holistic and looks at all aspects of care with especial focus on mother’s mental health and parenting and attachment. We are seeking an enrolled nurse with mental health experience to assist us by working on night shifts mostly, alongside a registered mental health nurse.
It would be an advantage to have experience or interest in parenting, early childhood and attachment for this role. This is a very rewarding position in a program that achieves great outcomes for mothers with a mental illness and their children.

Essential skills/knowledge
- Australian citizen or permanent resident
- enrolled Nurse in NSW with current authority to practice and AHPRA enrolment
- experience in mental health
- willingness to work mostly night shift, but available some days for training or meetings as required
- strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills
- demonstrated adaptability, conflict resolution skills, self-motivation and empathy towards others
- knowledge and commitment to working in a person/family centred, recovery oriented approach
- computer literate and able to use computerised database (training will be provided)
- willingness to undertake training as directed
- current First Aid Certificate
- car preferred due to location of service
Desirable skills/knowledge
- experience working with families (including children 0-5)
- previous experience in parenting and attachment work
