The role of the Pharmacy Assistant is to provide exceptional customer care that develops relationships with customers, ensures continued repeat business and the long-term success of the Pharmacy.

In this role you will be required to:

  • Golden Rule: Every customer leaves the Pharmacy happy 
  • Greet or acknowledge every customer who enters the store
  • Care for customers by recommending appropriate products that will meet their needs 
  • Approach customers and provide exceptional product information and advice
  • Ensure customers are informed of the features and benefitsof products, detailing instructions on how to use the product
  • Support and encourage companion selling to benefit the customer's needs.
  • Accept prescriptions from customers and ensure the correct patient's details are recorded
  • Provide continuous assistance and support to all customer service areas within the store
  • Ensure that displays and shelves are clean and tidy and all stock is pulled forward and rotated
  • Assist in replenishing stock, checking out of dates, rotating stock, and general housekeeping

Qualifications and Knowledge Required:

  • Experience working in a Pharmacy/Retail environment is preferred but not essential
  • Outstanding Customer service skills 
  • Strong communication skills
  • General product knowledge in pharmacy lines
  • High level sales techniques 
  • Intermediate POS usage

The Retail Manager Position involves the following tasks:

  • Lead the team to drive for increasing sales, through 'add-on' sales
  • Support catalogue and supplier promotions by planning, organising and implementing promotional activities to maximize sales.
  • Merchandise all stock. 
  • Accountable for rostering the team and ensuring you maintain your allocated wage budget per month.
  • Work to set budgets for the store and implement strategies to achieve desired results. In Sales, Stock and GP.
  • Performance management and staff development
  • Recruitment and induction of new team members.

Qualifications and Knowledge Required:

  • Experience in Pharmacy or Large format retail - Essential
  • Experience working with the LOTS Point of sale system (preferable)
  • Sound understanding of pharmacy operations.
  • High level computer skills.
