About the Opportunity
Shoalhaven Family Medical Centres have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Psychologist/ Psychologist to join our team based in the Shoalhaven area. We offer a salaried or contract position. This is an excellent business opportunity for the preferred candidate as the sole Psychologist with referrals from 29 GP's.
Working in collaboration with private psychiatrists (in person and via telehealth/telepsychiatry), 29 GP's, 4 Credentialed Mental Health Nurses and 2 Mental Health Social Workers you will be responsible for the provision and management of comprehensive Psychological services to eligible patients. This will involve the provision of services both at the clinics and in patients' homes. The role will involve working predominantly with adolescents and adults with a wide variety of presentations including, depression, Trauma, anxiety, relationship problems, behavioural issues and complex mental health problems.
The successful Applicant will have
- Registration with AHPRA, professional indemnity insurance, Police check and Working with Children clearance
- Experience and an ongoing interest in working with adolescents, adults and their families
- Eligibility to provide psychological services under Medicare
- A warm and approachable manner, with the ability and confidence to work independently and also in a team
- Excellence in a range of therapeutic approaches (CBT, ACT, DBT, Schema Therapy)
- Flexibility, accountability and a willingness to learn
- Attention to detail and exceptional organisational and communication skills
Shoalhaven Family Medical Centres are seeking applications from mature and professional candidates with exceptional interpersonal skills. You'll consider yourself a 'team player' and work well in a collaborative environment. An articulate and personable individual, you'll be able to confidently communicate with families, patients and medical professionals of all levels — from adolescents to elderly patients and Psychiatrists to GPs. Importantly, you'll be highly organised, and be able to complete your practical and administrative duties accurately and on-time, with minimal supervision.
A good level of computer literacy is a key requirement of this position. You must hold a current driver's licence.
A key requirement is that you'll perform your duties at one or all of Shoalhaven Family Medical Centres' practices being: Basin View, Culburra Beach, Vincentia and Worrigee Medical Centres.
