THE COMPANY AND ROLE
My client is a world leading manufacturer of hearing aids that operate in over 80 countries and a part of a global group that employs over 14,000 people. Currently, the business has a need for an experienced leader to run the Australian business as a Business Unit Director, based out of Sydney, with full responsibility of the Sales, Marketing and Customer Service functions.
- Establishing and managing all national sales & marketing strategies in line with global directives in order to achieve market share, revenue and OPEX targets.
- Contribution to the executive leadership team in setting out and implementing business activities.
- Full responsibility of formulating sales and marketing strategies, policies and budgets
- Direct management of 15 reports inclusive of sales representatives, marketing, customer services and product managers.
- Leading a total team of 25 employees.
- Management of key national accounts, negotiating major deals and maintaining a high volume of customer touch points.
- Responsibility of product pricing, channel negotiations in close consultation with the MD and FC.
- Full expenses responsibility and an managing OPEX numbers against budget.
- Attendance of multiple conferences, exhibitions both in Australia and Internationally - travel to the USA & Europe will occur but wont be frequent.
REQUIREMENTS
- Demonstrable leadership experience including the ability to mentor, encourage and support national sales and marketing teams.
- At least 6 years experience in a sales & marketing capacity within the healthcare sector.
- A strong and competent driver and implementer of national and international sales and marketing strategies.
- Excellent negotiation and influencing skills working with multiple stakeholders.
- Experience in planning, setting and working to complex budgets as well as ongoing reporting, variance analysis and revising projections.
