About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our teams at Currumbin and Robina working 20 hours per week. This is a brilliant opportunity to further develop and diversify your career in Pharmacy as you will be exposed to a variety of different aspects of hospital pharmacy while working alongside an integrated and dynamic team.
Reporting directly to the Pharmacist in Charge, your duties will include, but will not be limited to:
- Dispensing and supplying medication and pharmacy products
- Maintaining excellent levels of customer service
- Performing stock control duties in dispensary and hospital wards
- Processing sales transactions and assisting with account enquiries
- Delivering medication to allocated wards and retrieving new medication orders
- Managing scripts and duplicates in an effective and efficient manner
- Ensuring patients and nursing staff receive the correct medication
- Reporting any breaches of ethics or errors
- Assisting in dispensary activities
- Processing PBS claims
- Assisting the pharmacy team with any general pharmacy administration
About You:
We are looking for someone with the following skills & credentials:
- Previous experience in either hospital or community pharmacy is essential
- Dispensary Technician Certificate or equivalent as recognised by the Pharmacy Board of Australia
- Proficiency using FRED dispense & iPharmacy (preferred)
- Knowledge of the PBS
- Sound knowledge of S2/S3 products
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to deliver a high standards of customer service
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritise workload
- Microsoft Office (basic)
