This leading Workers Compensation Specialist who pride themselves on offering their staff an excellent work/life balance and a mature working environment are currently seeking a results focussed Allied Health qualification to join their high performing claims team on a permanent basis.

The Opportunity:

Reporting to the Claims Manager, the primary responsibilities of this role will include:

• Determining liability on your own portfolio of high risk claims from Corporate clients whilst adhering to current legislation
• Developing and implementing injury management plans on all significant claims
• Interpreting medical reports and approving/declining medical treatment
• Liaising with medical treatment providers and negotiating positive return to work plans for all injured workers
• Developing and implementing return to work plans in conjunction with your clients on-site Return to Work Coordinator.
• Calculating estimates on claims
• Processing wage payments
• Liaising with legal parties on more complex and litigated claims

About you:
The ideal person for this role will have the following:

• An Allied Health Qualification (Occupational Therapist, Chiropractor, Physiotherapist, Exercise Physiologist, Psychologist, Bachelor of Health Science etc)
• Exposure to the Workers Compensation industry (Rehab Provider or Insurer background)
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Excellent time management skills
