The Role

We are seeking a passionate, innovative and patient-care orientated Associate Nurse Unit Manager to join our friendly and well supported Perioperative team at Epworth Richmond. 

This role is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and patient-centred scrub/scout Registered Nurse who is passionate about what they do.  You will be working with an expert team of vascular surgeons, specialist nurses and radiographers completing complex endovascular procedures.

The role includes working closely with the Nurse Unit Manager to build and grow the endovascular team and relationships with surgeons. The role is primarily clinical but would include dedicated time and involvement in quality improvement projects, rostering and staff utilisation. The position has direct reports with KPI’s and requires extensive (e.g. 3 years) experience. A postgraduate diploma/certificate is highly desirable but not essential. 

About You

To be successful in the role you will:

  • Possess current nursing registration with AHPRA
  • Have a Post Graduate qualification in perioperative nursing (highly desirable)
  • Have contemporary knowledge of best practice within the perioperative setting
  • Be passionate about patient care and achieving high quality clinical outcomes
  • Be highly accountable and demonstrate a strong, supportive and engaging style
  • Have well developed and effective cross-department relationship management skill
