About the role

Are you a passionate and dynamic Critical Care Registered Nurse with sound clinical knowledge and recent experience working in an Intensive Care Unit? The new Intensive Care Unit at Angliss Hospital, opening in early October this year, has permanent full-time and part-time roles available for experienced Critical Care Registered Nurses who are wanting to be part of a supportive new team within the public health sector.

 

Eastern Health Intensive Care Services comprises three Intensive Care Units, Box Hill hospital, Maroondah hospital and opening in October at the Angliss hospital in Upper Ferntree Gully.  Each ICU provides high level care to patients within a multidisciplinary teaching hospital environment. Much of this care includes support for patients with severe illnesses, complex surgical recovery, and need for complex procedures, artificial ventilation and other forms of life support.

 

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a newly formed Intensive Care multidisciplinary team in providing excellence in patient care within Eastern Health’s Intensive Care Services.  As part of Eastern Health’s nursing team you will have access to ongoing professional development including leadership and management development.

 

About you 

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have current nursing registration with AHPRA
  • Hold or working towards a post graduate qualification in Critical Care
  • Have excellent knowledge of best practice in intensive care nursing
  • Be passionate about providing patient centred care
  • Have demonstrated clinical leadership experience and skills
  • Be highly accountable and display a supportive and engaging style
