Monash Women's maternity service is part of Monash Health and provides health care across south eastern Melbourne, uniquely integrating in one organisation all levels of health services - primary, secondary and tertiary care, as well as world renowned research and teaching facilities.

Our maternity service is the largest maternity provider in Victoria providing care to over 9,000 women each year across three hospitals: Monash Medical Centre, Dandenong and Casey. Monash Women's provides maternity care for well women and women with more complex and specialty needs. 

This integrated service structure provides one of Australia’s safest levels of maternity care.

Monash Women's is affiliated with Monash University and a number of other universities for research and training providing professional development opportunities and support for our midwives across the service.

 

Monash Medical Centre

  • Provides Tertiary level Maternity care to high risk women
  • Opportunities to provide care to women across the full scope of services – Clinic, Post Natal and Birth Suite and Extended Post Natal Care (EPC) 
  • Pregnancy Assessment and Fetal Diagnostic Units,
  • Monash Newborn – Special Care Nursery and NICU situated on-site within the Monash Children’s
  • Fetal Monitoring and ADaPPT Program (Adolescent Drug and Psychiatric Pregnancy Team)
  • Monash Medical Centre has five teams: Amethyst (purple), Opal (light blue), Topaz (magenta), Amber (orange) and Emerald (light green).

Dandenong Hospital

  • Opportunities to provide care to women across the full scope of services – Anti Natal Clinic, Post Natal and Birth Suite and Extended Post Natal Care (EPC).
  • Fetal Monitoring and ADaPPT program (Adolescent Drug and Psychiatric Pregnancy Team)
  • On site Special Care Nursery
  • Refugee / Cultural Diversity
  • Young Women’s and Healthy Lifestyles Programs
  • Dandenong Hospital has three teams: Turquoise (aqua) Jade (dark green) and Rose Quartz (pink)

Casey Hospital

  • Opportunities to provide care to women across the full scope of services – Antinatal Clinic, Post Natal and Birth Suite and Extended Post Natal Care (EPC).
  • New Offsite Facility – Anti Natal Clinic at Pakenham
  • Expansion of Casey hospital to cater for the demands in the largest growth corridor in Victoria to be completed 2019.
  • On-site Special Care Nursery
  • Caseload midwifery
  • Casey Hospital has three teams: Diamond (cream), Ruby (red), and Sapphire (blue).

What you need

  • Current AHPRA registration
  • Proven minimum  experience of 3 years in Maternity Services
  • Current Employee Working with Children Check
  • Management or Leadership experience is highly regarded but not essential
