About the business and the role
Corowa Medical Centre, a new purpose built medical centre co-located with community health and the Corowa Hospital.
Corowa Medical Centre is seeking a dedicated self driven professional, to join our dynamic nursing team.
The successful applicant must be self-motivated, flexible and have a patient centred approach.
This position also offers an opportunity to work in the satellite clinic in neighbouring Rutherglen,
Job tasks and responsibilities
Some of your Duties may include, but are not limited to
- Wound Management
- Triage
- Immunisations - Childhood, Adult & Travel Vaccines
- Chronic Disease Management Plans & Health Assessments
- ECG, Pathology Collection & Spirometry.
- Assist doctors with minor procedures.
- General nursing
- Treatment Room & Waiting Room Supervision/Management
Skills and experience
- Current AHPRA registration
- Valid Working with Children's Check and a satisfactory Police Check
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Capacity to multi task, prioritise and great time management skills
- Professional presentation
- Computer literate
Desirable
- Prior Practice Nursing experience is advantageous but not essential
- Knowledge of chronic disease management and health screening an advantage but training is available
- Current Drivers license
- Knowledge of Medicare initiatives relating to chronic disease management
- Immunisation skills and knowledge
- Triage experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of the RACGP Standards for General Practice.
- Demonstrated ability to write clear, concise and informative progress notes
- Flexibility in your availability to assist in holiday and sick leave reliefs and CDM plans.
