This position, based at Sunbury Community Health, presents an opportunity to work within a supportive dental clinic, with experienced dental staff. As a dental assistant at Sunbury Community Health, you will provide care to eligible patients under the public dental system, according to the guidelines and regulations set out by Dental Health Services Victoria.
The successful candidate will be suitably qualified with a Certificate III in Dental Assisting, and is experienced in assisting the delivery of dental services to a wide range of clients. Your proven ability to work efficiently to provide empathetic and effective dental care to patients with varying dental needs will help you be successful in this position. Knowledge of the public dental system and the Titanium patient management software and processes will also be beneficial.
This position will be mainly tasked mainly with instrument reprocessing but will also be required to perform clinical chairside duties as required. A Certificate IV in Sterilisation Services will be looked upon favourably. It is likely that you will be reprocessing both dental and podiatry instruments according to the current infection control standards. On-the-job training in instrument reprocessing procedures will be provided, but sound knowledge in infection control and instrument reprocessing standards is highly desirable.
