About the business
Since 1938, the Victorian Healthcare Association has been supporting Victoria's publicly funded healthcare providers to respond to system reform, shape policy and advocate on key issues. Now in its 80th year, the VHA proudly represents 96 per cent of the state's public hospitals and community health services.
To assist the organisation in achieving its aims, a newly refreshed organisational structure presents a number of exciting employment opportunities across a team of dedicated professionals.
About the role
As the broader health system moves through a period of significant reform including across disability, the Victorian Healthcare Association has been charged with supporting public sector healthcare providers to build capacity and embed new ways of working.
In close consultation with the sector, this project role will undertake research, and develop plans that lead to the implementation of tools and resources to support Victorian public healthcare providers to gain a deeper understanding and develop plans to reduce and remove barriers experienced by people with a disability.
Your project management experience, ideally in a disability advocacy context, will see you excel in this role.
Candidates with experience in disability, lived experience with disability and/or public health, are flexible, a team player, accountable, proactive and organised with a passion for generating real change are encouraged to apply.

Skills and experience
· Exceptional project planning, research and problem-solving skills
· Proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and strong stakeholder engagement capability
· Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skill
· Knowledge of the structure and operation of public sector residential aged care will be an advantage.
