About the role

As the aged care system moves toward a consumer-directed care approach, the Victorian Healthcare Association has been charged with supporting public sector providers of residential aged care to build capacity as they transition through major reforms.

In close consultation with the public residential aged care sector, this project role will undertake extensive research, develop plans and drive the implementation of tools and resources to support Victorian public residential aged care providers to make fundamental changes to their systems and processes.

As Project Officer, Residential Aged Care you will actively drive and contribute to change within the sector including supporting health services to transition to new quality standards and support the implementation of recommendations from the Royal Commission into Family Violence.

Your project management experience, ideally in a residential aged care context, will see you excel in this role. 

Candidates with experience in public residential aged care and/or public health, are flexible, a team player, accountable, proactive and organised with a passion for generating real change are encouraged to apply.

Skills and experience

·         Exceptional project planning, research and problem-solving skills 

·         Proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and strong stakeholder engagement capability 

·         Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skill

·         Knowledge of the structure and operation of public sector residential aged care will be an advantage.
