Kids' Speech Therapy (KST) is a private speech pathology clinic based in Salisbury.
KST is seeking a paediatric speech pathologist to join our growing practice on a casual basis, with the potential of progressing to a permanent part-time position in the future.
The successful applicant will provide skilled knowledge and practical expertise that supports the implementation of high quality therapy services to children, with developmental communication delays from the ages of 2 years to 16 years.
Clinical supervision will be provided on a regular basis, with extra supervision during the initial probation period of four months.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering effective and efficient therapy services to paediatric clients
- Autonomous management of clinical caseload through the use of effective time management strategies
- Co-ordination of individual and group therapy sessions
- Creating and maintaining professional relationships with clients, families and teaching staff
- Participation in ongoing professional development as required
Salary level: Remuneration will be based on experience and will be in line with the Health Professional and Support Services Award plus superannuation.
Working hours follow the school term:
- Tuesday (7:30 - 5:00)
- Wednesday (7:30 - 5:00)
- Thursday (7:30 - 5:00)
- Friday/Monday (occasionally alternates) (7:30 - 3:00)

8 October - 14 December - 10 weeks
Term 1
29 January - 5 April - 10 weeks
Term 2
23 April - 28 June - 10 weeks
Term 3
15 July - 20 September - 10 weeks
Term 4
8 October -13 December - 10 weeks
The successful applicant would be ideally available to start work on the late September - early October, 2018.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
- Current practicing member of Speech Pathology Australia
- Relevant Speech Pathology qualifications
- Current Blue Card
- Professional Indemnity and Public Liability insurance
- Queensland drivers licence and own vehicle
- Excellent work ethic and punctuality
PREFERRED CRITERIA
- 1-3 years of clinical experience with a general paediatric caseload
- PROMPT/Lidcombe training
- Experience with school aged literacy and the PAL programme
