Position Summary:
Vacancies exist in the above unit for highly motivated Senior Resident Medical Officers with at least 2 years post graduate clinical experience to join our friendly and supportive team. The position of general medicine SRMO at St. Vincent’s and St Joseph’s Hospitals will give you the opportunity to undertake term rotations in General Medicine, Emergency, Drug and Alcohol, Psychiatry and Aged Care.

St. Vincent’s is a major public teaching hospital and a principal tertiary referral hospital with a strong commitment to vocational education and training.

The positions are full-time, Monday to Friday with rostered ward overtime and on-call.  Emergency Medicine and Psychiatry have rotating shift cover. The positions are available now through to 2 February 2020.

Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia MBBS or equivalent, registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia Completion of 2 post graduate years Demonstrated excellent communication skills (verbal and written), and computer skills A professional attitude and flexibility in work role with a preparedness and ability to participate in after-hours overtime and on-call rosters including ability to work at secondment hospitals. Demonstrated interest in teaching and research. .Evidence of commitment to the principles of patient safety and clinical quality improvement; and involvement in continuous quality improvement
