Practice Nurse to join new Medical Practice in Westmead / Parramatta

We are looking for experienced Registered Nurse, to join our team and treatment room in MedCity Medical Centre. In this role, you will work collaboratively with our general practitioners, practice staff and other relevant care providers to provide triage services and integrated care for our patients.

The suitable candidate will confidently provide comprehensive healthcare to our patients including category 4 & 5 triage services, emergency care, health assessments and care plans.

-       Triaging our patients and prioritizing emergency situations.

-       Assisting GP with procedures including excision of lesions, plastering and assessments.

-       Wound dressings and removal of sutures.

-       Performing ECGs and other tests such as spirometry.

-       Venepuncture.

-       Immunisations

-       Health Assessments

-       Daily co-ordination of the treatment room: stock                   control, general maintenance and care of medical                 instruments, and equipment.

-       Implementing and practicing infection control

Requirements

-       Current RN AHPRA registration.

-       Previous care plan/health assessment experience desirable

-       Excellent verbal and written communication skills

-       Ability to multi-task and prioritize

-       Well-presented

-       Nurse Practitioners with special interests are welcome to apply.

-       The practice nurse will be required to work a 38 hours per week. However, from time to time the practice nurse may be required to work reasonable additional hours, as necessary to fulfil the requirements of the position, or as requested by the employer. This may include working outside of business hours, during weekends and /or on public holidays.
