Where you'll be working

Lockhart Multipurpose Service provides emergency, medical and residential aged care services, including palliative care and respite.  Of the 20 beds, 15 are funded for residential aged care.  Community health services include generalist community nursing, and child and family services with a number of visiting services including physiotherapy, speech pathology, radiography, ACAT and general counselling. Lockhart also provides community nursing services to The Rock.

What you'll be doing
 

Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse/Midwife, participate in the provision of safe, compassionate, person centred care in collaboration with individual/s and the multidisciplinary health care team to achieve quality care outcomes for patients and clients

What we're looking for

• Completion of Certificate III Health Services Assistance (Descriptor: Assisting in Nursing Work in Aged Care) or have completed 1 or more years of an undergraduate nursing student
• Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills within a team environment
• Demonstrated capacity to work cooperatively within a team environment, value different perspectives within the team and manage conflicts situations in a calm and professional manner
• Ability to work within a plan of care under the supervision and direction of a Registered Nurse/Midwife
• Awareness of the principles of Quality, infection control, WHS and EEO
