About The Position Located At Mater Rockhampton
A fantastic opportunity is available for an enthusiastic and motivated Occupational Therapist to join the Mater Misericordiae Hospital Rockhampton. This opportunity is being offered on a part-time basis.
The role is located in our newly refurbished Adult Rehabilitation Unit, which offers both inpatient and day rehabilitation services. The fresh modern facilities incorporate newly furnished patient rooms, a bright very functional dining area, and a state of the art gymnasium for patient treatment. The unit has a well-rounded, multi-disciplinary team and treats clients with a variety of clinical presentations. Both individual programs and group exercise programs are offered.
Salary range: $43.45 – $47.13 per hour (commensurate with level of experience)
What you’ll be doing
In the role, you will enjoy being part of a team of professionals who take pride in providing the highest levels of patient care. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate Occupational Therapy treatment appropriate to the client's needs, condition, and the treatment provided. You will maximise individual client outcomes and promote their needs within the clinical environment.
Part-time hours are a minimum of 64 per fortnight. Experience or interest in hand therapy is desirable. New Graduates are encouraged to apply.
About you
To be considered for the role you will have:
- have current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
- have proven abilities in the assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal, neurological, and other conditions using a problem-solving and objective approach.
- have the ability to be responsible and responsive to a situation where a high level of professional autonomy exists. However, must be effective in a multidisciplinary health team and be able to demonstrate initiative, enthusiasm and flexibility
