Senior Occupational Therapist required for full time, permanent vacancy based in Northern NSW. Join this leading preventative health organisation, with multiple clinics across NSW to provide occupational therapy services as they build the community and NDIS component of their business.

The role has been developed as a result of continued growth and success. Work alongside a team of highly skilled health professionals, including other Physiotherapists, Exercise Physiologists, Podiatrist and a Dietitian. The focus of this role is community and NDIS clients, however there might also be scope to provide services across their clinics.

Your day to day responsibilities will include:

• Cover a clinical caseload ranging from aged/community and NDIS
• Assist in coordinating the care for NDIS and HomeCare clients with the multi-disciplinary team (Physios, EPs, Dietitians and Podiatrists)
• Manage, educate and mentor the other OT (based in Yamba) 
• Perform home modification and assessments for Home Care clients 
• Networking and relationship building to assist building the OT business
• Support our Physio team in residential aged care when necessary

   

The role will be based in Ballina with some travel to surrounding sites, including Lismore.

To be successful, you will:

• Have general registration with AHPRA and eligibility to work in Australia
• Have experience/knowledge of community OT and/or disability 
• Have a proactive, ‘can do’ approach with excellent communication skills
• Work well in a close knit team
• Have strong customer service skills and be able to build patient rapport
• Be looking to make a long term commitment to your next role
