The Company:

There are two main branches to our services: Educational Speech Pathology &Therapy Services (ESP&TS) and One Stop Allied Health (OSAH). Our large supportive and passionate team consists of Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Music Therapists, Dietitian, Podiatrist and Paediatrician.

We are dedicated to providing the highest quality multidisciplinary clinic and school-based intervention services. We currently service preschools, primary schools, special classes, schools for special purposes and secondary school settings. Staff are provided with regular PD events and the companies have a strong and supportive professional mentoring program.

The Role:

Your clinical role will form an integral part of the larger multidisciplinary allied health and educational context requiring dedication to quality intervention, excellence in interpersonal spoken and written communication skills, ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, families and your team. An important part of your role in schools will be as part of the Learning support and welfare teams.

There can be flexibility within the role such as

  • Ability to work school terms only
  • Options of clinic based and school based services
  • After hours and Saturday options
  • Opportunities to provide multidisciplinary intervention sessions
  • Options for preschool, school aged, secondary and special populations

 

Your Duties:

  • Screening and assessment of speech, language, fluency. Voice, pragmatics and literacy
  • Provision of direct individual intervention and or group and classroom based programs
  • Advocacy for children and families within schools and with external providers
  • Support of parents in their journey of understanding of their child’s needs
  • Support of teachers and SLSOs through direct training, classroom demonstration, case conferences and workshops
  • Potential for clinical education roles with student speech pathologists dependant on your experiences
  • Represent the values and reputation of both ESP&TS and OSAH

Essential Skills:

  • Bachelor or Masters degree in Speech Pathology eligible for membership with Speech Pathology Australia
  • Experience providing paediatric assessments and intervention with a wide range of ages and conditions
  • Experience, knowledge and passion for service provision within clinic and school contexts
  • Client focussed with professionalism & empathy
  • Current membership with Speech Pathology Australia
  • Current Working With Children Check
