THE ORGANISATION
Our client is a medium-sized provider of residential aged care services in NSW and Victoria. They have been experiencing growth, with the development of large, contemporary residential sites and further growth is planned.
This role is located at a residential aged care facility in Sydney. The location has good access to public transport and a shopping district.
THE ROLE
This role is as Care Manager of a large residential service. The role is well-supported with Clinical Managers and a team of centralised specialists.
In this role you will:-
- oversee all aspects of resident care including clinical care
- provide leadership to a large team
- make the culture change that is needed to build a highly performing team
- build the skills of your team through training and mentoring
- manage related budgets
- have input into occupancy management and marketing
- contribute to business strategy, as part of the senior management team
SKILLS, EXPERIENCES AND QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED
- current RN registration and a min. 3 years’ care experience as an RN
- preferably experience in aged care
- experience in the management of teams, including mentoring to build skills
- excellent organisational and time management skills
- understanding of quality management frameworks
- strong communication and relationship building skills
