CaSPA Care is a residential aged care organisation providing quality care to the elderly. We currently have two aged care homes, one located in South Melbourne and one located in Albert Park.

CaSPA care has moved away from the highly institutional medical based model of care to an exciting 'Household Model' that has our residents in a more home like environment.  We don't expect our residents to fit into a rigid routine, we encourage independence and choice around routine, interests, activities, social gatherings, preferred meals and more.

We are looking for our new After Hours Site Coordinator (RN) (PM Shift) (Wednesday - Sunday to join our growing team!

In this role, you'll use your extensive clinical and leadership experience to ensure our residents receive the best care and support possible. You'll be motivated by sharing your expert knowledge with our team while supporting our carers and nurses to be the best they can be. You'll be passionate about growing our state of the art home and strengthen our revolutionary aged care Household Model of care.

In this role you will:

  • Participate actively to assess, plan, provide, evaluate and document all aspects of clinical care based on best practice, relevant policy and procedure while advocating for Residents in directing their care and honouring their preferences
  • Promoting the Residents' psychosocial well-being through meaningful relationship building, and work with the Household team to meet the social needs of the Resident and of the Household
  • Undertake all assessments and associated documentation, as indicated
  • Assist with the assessment and submission of ACFI data
  • Provide personal and lifestyle enhancement care to Residents to meet their daily needs and enable them to function at the highest possible level, as required
  • Liaise with the Director of Quality & Care.
  • Assist the team members in planning, delivering services based on best practice and relevant policy and procedure
  • Assist the team members in maintaining the home in a clean, tidy and safe condition at all times
  • Oversee and manage staff on site

To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • A Registered Nurse with current unrestricted registration with APHRA
  • Up to date clinical knowledge and expertise
  • 5 years or greater experience in residential aged care
  • Management experience
  • Computer literacy (outlook, internet and office word)
  • Working knowledge of the Aged Care Accreditation Standards and the Aged Care Act 1997
