Our client is a well respected not for profit organisation providing specialist residential and community aged care services for the Chinese and South East Asian communities in Sydney. With strong cultural links to the community, they create a vibrant environment and inclusive culturally appropriate care to elders, so that they did not feel segregated by society due to language barriers, or their ability to communicate their needs.

They are currently seeking a DDON to join their fully accredited small home in St. George Area.  This is an excellent opportunity to utilise and further develop your skills and be part of a friendly and vibrant team. This position is offered on a permanent full time basis.

The Role

Reporting to the Director of Nursing, you will ensure each resident receives high quality person centred care. You will hold responsibility for the overall clinical governance of the facility to include overseeing the submissions & optimisation of ACFI funding. Utilising the leadership skills, you will motivate, develop & mentor care team members, support the manager with the continued development & success of the facility & build strong working relationships with internal & external key stakeholders.

Skills and Experience

• Current AHPRA registration as Registered Nurse
• Minimum 3 years Senior RN / clinical management experience in aged care
• Sound knowledge in ACFI, accreditation and relevant legislation
• Excellent communication and people skills
• Fluent in English and Cantonese or Mandarin
• Full works rights in Australia
• In - Charge and Sernior RNs looking to step up are encouraged to apply
