We are currently recruiting for a Business Development Associate in Clinical Research.  The primary responsibility of this role plays a lead role in developing and diversifying business so that revenue increases, and the future and growth of the organisation are guaranteed.

• Improve market position in the Contract Research Organisation Sector;
• Improve the financial position of the Organisation;
• Implement  strategic goals while building the customer base;
• Identify business opportunities through day-to-day liaison in the Sector;
• Maintain the BD and pipeline database;
• Maintaining extensive knowledge of current market conditions and sector needs;
• Liaise with Operational Management to increase BD opportunities and maximise business;
• Identify or follow business leads as delegated by the CEO, meet and greet, present capabilities and convert leads into  clients;
• Pitch to potential new clients as required by the CEO;
• Attend, conferences, Industry meetings, functions and other forums as delegated to attract new business;
• Manage client feedback, satisfaction and contemporaneously maintain BD and existing client databases;
• Feedback to Operational management all aspects of feedback, both positive and negative with the aim of Continuous Improvement and fostering growth;
• Assist the CEO in developing the pipeline of new and repeat business;
• Assist the CEO in budget negotiations and securing new and repeat business opportunities;
• Assist the CEO as delegated with all aspects of the Business Development (BD) process including review of Request For Proposals, bids or costing for potential clients;
• Work closely with the CEO to grow the business;
• Foster a clear and current understanding of  goal, strategy and purpose in the sector to continually enhance performance;
• Liaise closely with the Operational and Project Teams to maintain capabilities database for marketing and BD purposes;
• Provide business development training and mentor to internal staff;
• Prepare marketing and BD materials including conference items;
• Oversee and maintain content on the NTA website.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 4 years in a Business Development or similar role;
• Master in Business Administration
• Experience in the Clinical Research Industry;
• Ability to identify new investigator sites;
• Previous experience in the Pharmaceutical, Life Sciences especially neurology sector will be highly regarded.
